With an Enterprise Email package you get email technology built for low latency, high uptime, scalability and reliability. Because the service runs in the cloud, you have no hardware, software, bandwidth or IT staff costs. It also follows a simple pay-as-you-grow model: you pay for the accounts you need and add more as your organisation grows.
- What typical features does an Enterprise Email provide over Personal Email?
Enterprise Email includes a number of features that personal email does not. These include shared calendars, a global contact list for your organisation, push synchronisation for mobile devices, and support for Microsoft Outlook and macOS. Together they make it easier for a team to schedule meetings, share contacts and stay in sync on every device.
- Which Email Clients and protocols are supported?
You can send and receive email with any desktop email program, such as Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail or Mozilla Thunderbird. Enterprise Email supports the POP, IMAP and MAPI protocols, so it works with the email program you already use. Our knowledgebase has guides for setting up the most common email programs.
- How do I use my Webmail Interface?
You can open webmail in any browser at http://webmail.yourdomainname.com, replacing yourdomainname.com with your own domain. On the login page, enter your full email address and its password. Webmail lets you read and send email from any computer, without installing anything.
- Which mobile phones can I access my mail from?
You can read your email on any smartphone or tablet. Our responsive webmail works in the browser on all major mobile systems, including iOS and Android, and adjusts to the size of your screen. Push synchronisation keeps your mobile devices up to date as well.
- What is the space provided per Email Account?
The space for each email account depends on the plan you choose; every plan card above shows the mailbox size it includes. The larger plans leave plenty of room for years of business email, including large attachments.
- What ports do I need to use for Email Hosting?
The usual port for the outgoing mail server (SMTP) is 25. Some internet providers block port 25, and if yours does, your email program will not be able to send. In that case, use the alternative port 587 for sending mail instead. You enter the port in the account settings of your email program.
- Can I create mailing lists?
Yes. You can create mailing lists, add and remove members, appoint a moderator, restrict who can join a list and even ban users from a list. A mailing list lets you email a whole group, such as a team or a department, through a single address. You can find more information in our knowledgebase.
- What is your SPAM policy?
We take a zero-tolerance stance against unsolicited email, bulk emailing and spam. "Safe lists", purchased lists and the selling of lists are all treated as spam. Any user who sends spam will have their account terminated, with or without notice. If you send newsletters, only email people who have clearly agreed to receive them.
- Can I use Auto Responders?
Yes, you can. An auto-responder sends an automatic, pre-set reply as soon as an email arrives at your address. It is useful for out-of-office messages, or for confirming that an enquiry has been received. To set one up, follow the guide in our knowledgebase.
